What a weekend
Sun 14th Aug '05
We went down to the Jungle Bungle in Coffs Harbour on Saturday. Its a great little place where there is a big playground for the kids and a cafe. The cafe is set up so you can sit around and watch the kids play. The kids had a great time, Mae-Amy and Hayley came too. Hayley and Isabelle took their socks off and we had to chase them through the maze trying to catch them to make them put them back on. The maze was made for kids so they had a considerable advantage. In the end we employed Dylan to do the dirty work for us - he sought out and captured his objectives with much greater ease than we would have. Soon after apprehending the girls the fun was on again (with socks on this time) as Dylan took them into the ball pits for some imaginary swimming. They took turns running out and telling us 'I'm all wet'.
On friday night we got a surprise visit from Brocko which was awesome. We don't get to see him much since he joined the army. He's off to Darwin for his latest posting and I think I might fly up and visit him sometime after he moves off the base and into a house. It's another capital city I can tick off my list of places to visit, now that I'm single I might try and make it to some out of the way places while I find myself bored. Like Europe.
I think I might try to tee up a week or two in Europe next year. A musical in London, a rock concert in Sweden and Germany, and maybe even a drive on one of the unrestricted autobahns. Oh, and a ride on a bullet train. And ice skating on a real pond. Have I forgotten anything? Oh yeah, and maybe amaze the locals with stories of crocodiles, boxing kangaroos and drop bears. Why not, can't let the truth get in the way of a good story...
