Long weekend

I had a great weekend up the coast. I started by going up to visit Lily, Suzie and Matt. I caught up with Chris and Dave briefly, too. While in Brisbane I went to the Botanical Gardens with Tracy. She's pretty clever with a camera and managed to educate me how to understand and use the manual settings on my camera. I will post some of the shots in the Gallery soon!

I visited Tim and he, Tracy and I went in for a look at Jupiters Casino. None of us thought it was particularly amazing... like a services club with more emphasis on gaming and a few table games, is all. And higher drink prices.

We also went for a walk on the beach, where I realised how white my skin is! I need to get a tan! I think I'll start coming home for lunch, and eating out in the back yard with my shirt off. That oughta do it. I thought the beach was amazing, with the water an iridescent greeny blue, then I realised my polarised sunnies were playing tricks on me! The water still looked nice, but in a less psychadelic kind of way...

I took a alternative route home, from Nerang (Tim's house) through Natural Bridge to Murwillumbah, then Kyogle, Casino and then home. What a drive! From Nerang to Murwillumbah is an awesome road, windy and steep, the Camry and I had a ball. From Murwillumbah to Kyogle is a pretty nice drive too, also windy and steep, and also plenty of fun, although it was dark by this time. I lost some time playing with my camera at and around Murwillumbah.
