Long time no blog, again
Wed 15th Feb '06
I realise I havent blogged for a while, but ive been busy!
Firstly a very sad note, It was with great sorrow I learned that uncle Graham has suffered a stroke. My love and thoughts are with him and I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. I also will be thinking of Sue and the girls and all of the family as we all love him dearly.
I won't go into any detail here but by all means keep looking back here because if the Buhmanns would like I will post regular recovery updates for them here to help lighten the load of getting updates out to the family.
WORK!
At work, I have devised a method of compiling the data we collect from the GPS recorders in heavy vehicles to make maps. This is a great step because Australia's mapping agencies are very delayed in getting new routes onto maps - if i make our own maps of our own data, we will have new routes as soon as a vehicle has driven it. Thats exciting for lots of reasons, not least of which, is that I can allow customers to plan routes on the newest roads - a must for any transport company - as soon as the road is open (almost). There are lots of other developments, too.
At home, I have had a tough time with Rebecca lately but progress is happening. More importantly though, I am happily in love! Tracy has been a revelation for me. I was worried i'd never fall in love again and it looks like I was being a bit nieve, I'm gonna be just fine! That in turn leads to me enjoying other things more, including to some extent the time I spend alone. I suppose I'm just more content. The kids and I always enjoy our time together but it is definately easier when I'm the happy dad they've alway known me to be. Dylan is enjoying school, and signing up for soccer this year too! :)
More tomorrow!
